Throughout the year the Kappa Foundation of Delray Beach demonstrates its community support by participating in numerous fundraising golf tournaments across the state of Florida. Team Delray Kappas played in the Fore Sistas Fairview Golf Club 2nd Annual Golf Tournament and was the MEN’S TEAM 1ST PLACE WINNER. The Tournament was held at Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City Florida. The golf course is one of only a dozen African-American owned courses in the United States. ( see Stanley Campbell ) Besides bragging rights and a trophy, the team also brought home a cash prize. Our golfers also got some coaching from 12 year old golfing sensation Xeve Perez. At age 11, he became the youngest golfer to compete in the International Junior Masters.
